KONG LUNG COMPANY (also known as Gump's in the Cane Field) is a unique store, dating back from 1881.  Located in Kilauea (northern part of the island), it specializes in Hawaiian crafts, elegant tropical clothig, antiques and unique jewelry.
 
Sand People in Hanalei and the Poipu Shopping Village is a clothing store with interesting merchandise and a large selection of tropical jewelry and gourmet island foods. 808/742-2888

Poipu Shopping Village (across the road from the Kiahuna Plantation) has a variety of shops and restaurants. A free children's hula show is scheduled every Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Kukui Grove Shopping Center is located on the west side of Lihue off the main highway (Kaumualii Hwy) leading to Koloa Town. It (245-7784). This major shopping center features large department stores, boutique shops, dining, pharmacy, gifts, jewelry, electronics, groceries, miniature golf, bumper boats, driving range, and services including Longs Drug Store, Liberty House, Star Market.. Open daily.

Kilohana is two miles south of Lihue. This restored historic plantation home is open to the public. Gaylord's restaurant is located here, along with some interesting shops, including an excellent jewelry store and an art gallery featuring local artists. There are beautiful gardens to tour. The lauau is not too "cheezy".  (245-5608)

Coming from Kiahuna, KEBANU is a gallery located on the road (on right) just before you turn into Koloa Town.  Well worth a look.
